- Feeding: Black Phantom Tetras are omnivorous and should be provided with a balanced diet that includes high-quality flakes or micro pellets, supplemented with live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. A varied diet will help maintain their health and vibrant colouration.
- Tank Setup: Provide a tank with plenty of live or artificial plants to offer shelter and create a natural environment. Black Phantom Tetras enjoy open swimming spaces and dim lighting, which helps bring out their deep black colouration. A tank of at least 20 gallons (75 Litres) is recommended for a small school.
- Behaviour: Black Phantom Tetras are social fish that thrive in groups of six or more. Their schooling behaviour is not only beautiful to observe but also essential for their well-being. They are peaceful and make excellent tank mates for other small, non-aggressive species like rasboras, guppies, and Corydoras.
