Why Choose Sterbai Corydoras?

Sterbai Corydoras are an excellent choice for aquarists seeking a visually striking and easy-to-care-for species to add to their community aquarium. Their beautiful spotted pattern and unique orange pectoral fins make them a standout addition to any tank. As bottom-dwellers, they play a crucial role in maintaining a clean substrate by scavenging for uneaten food, which helps prevent waste buildup and contributes to a healthier tank environment. Their peaceful nature and ability to thrive in a range of water conditions make them a versatile and rewarding addition to any freshwater setup.

Care Tips:

  • Water Parameters: Maintain stable water conditions with a temperature of 72°F - 82°F (22°C - 28°C), pH between 6.0 - 7.5, and soft to moderately hard water. Sterbai Corydoras are relatively hardy and can adapt to a variety of water conditions, but they thrive best in clean, well-oxygenated environments.
  • Feeding: Sterbai Corydoras are omnivorous and should be provided with a balanced diet that includes high-quality sinking pellets, algae wafers, and occasional live or frozen foods to ensure they receive all necessary nutrients.
  • Tank Setup: These corydoras prefer a tank with soft, sandy substrate to protect their sensitive barbels. Providing plenty of hiding places such as plants, driftwood, and caves will help them feel secure. A well-filtered tank with good water flow is recommended to support their health.

Perfect for All Freshwater Aquariums:

Sterbai Corydoras are an excellent choice for aquarists who want to add a hardy, peaceful, and visually appealing species to their community tank. Their unique coloration, coupled with their beneficial scavenging behaviour, makes them a valuable addition to any freshwater aquarium.
